Texting while in court

It’s been widely reported that a Utah woman was held in contempt of court for texting during a proceeding. The truth seems to be other than the reports I’ve heard. It wasn’t the act of texting: it was that she was allegedly texting in order to conceal assets during a civil suit. Even so, it’s another cautionary tale for those of us who find ourselves in a courtroom for any reason, including jury duty. Most judges prohibit active use of electronic devices in the courtroom.
